Mind Source and EDP receive OutSystems Innovation Award 2019

The “EDP Ethics Channel” project, developed by Mind Source for EDP, was recognised with the OutSystems Innovation Award 2019 in the Digital Transformation category.

This project is part of EDP’s digital transformation process and involved developing a portal designed to centralise the submission of ethical complaints to the EDP Group’s Ethics Ombudsman, which were previously submitted in a dispersed manner.

The speed of response provided by the platform, as well as the ability to resolve complaints quickly, increased satisfaction levels and improved the experience of both internal and external users.

The application also ensures confidentiality and security of user data while guaranteeing transparency, traceability, and auditability throughout the process, ensuring compliance with the response SLAs imposed by the code of ethics.

We are proud of this recognition, which is the result of the team’s work and the commitment we have been developing. Our mission is to support our clients in becoming increasingly digital and positioning themselves as innovation references in their sector. Projects like this reflect the path of innovation we have been building together with our clients,” said Rui Reis, Executive Director of Mind Source.

This project was developed using OutSystems, a low-code development platform whose speed of implementation, usability, and flexibility allowed the successful completion of the project within the defined deadlines.

Mind Source had already been recognised by OutSystems with the OutSystems Agility Award for the “Paperless Meetings” project in 2010, and has over a decade of experience in OutSystems development projects—ensuring the necessary know-how for projects of this nature.

“With the constant demand for increasingly robust application solutions, one of the success factors for organisations is their rapid and agile response to digital transformation. A partner of OutSystems for more than a decade, Mind Source has continued to invest in team certification in this technology, driven by the growing demand from companies to become more agile in meeting market requirements. Agile development is critical to ensuring the competitiveness of today’s companies, and it will be a reality in future digital business environments. Gartner predicts that by 2024, 65% of applications will be developed through Low-Code Application Platforms, such as OutSystems”

The award was received by André Brites, Business Manager at Mind Source, and Pedro Maria Duarte, representing EDP, at OutSystems NextStep 2019, the annual event aimed at the community of customers, partners, and developers, where major trends are discussed and the latest platform innovations are revealed.
