"Truly understanding the Customer (Customer 360), which products they are most likely to buy, on which channels, and at what time, with Mind Source's Omnichannel Insights 360": the omnichannel strategy requires a 360º view of the customer to improve the experience and increase retention.
The story of Mind Source began in 2007 and has been written over the last 16 years with several chapters and projects developed mainly in the areas of Business Insights, Web & Mobile Apps, and Project & Program Leadership.
In 2014, joining the Rumos Group allowed for "the creation of synergies," which function "as an enabler for the development of skills through specialized training," as explained by Rui Reis, Executive Director of Mind Source.
In response to the pandemic situation, Mind Source launched the "Mind Source Beside You" program, which was based on supporting employees and their families. In 2021, the job portal was launched, focusing on the recruitment process and career management. Recently, the organization diversified its offering, focusing on the development of SaaS products, and has been on the Great Places to Work list since 2012.
The business and strategy
Commitment, team spirit, value creation, social responsibility, creativity, and flexibility are some of the values at the genesis of the organization, which "has the mission of transforming its client organizations through excellent services in the area of information technology."
The business is developed primarily at the national level, in the Greater Lisbon and Porto areas, where most of the employees – two hundred – are concentrated, forming multidisciplinary teams. The goal is to continue growing in the northern region. "The focus on the nearshore business with the diversification of offerings and the integration of new professionals who want to belong to the team and develop projects for clients from all over the world in Portugal is also a strategic area," adds Rui Reis.
Among the main areas worked on is the business insights sector, responsible for transforming data into meaningful information, through three categories – data analysis, business intelligence, and data science; The company offers web and mobile apps, with the mission of improving operational performance and customer experience through centralized and intelligent management of information and assets; and project and program leadership, an offering divided into project management and business analysis, which supports organizations in new market trends, activities, processes, and business and organizational models in order to ensure controlled change.
The organization has two strategic partnerships with SAS and Microsoft. Rui Reis reiterates that the technology used in the projects is the one that best meets the needs of clients, thus ensuring that "our professionals are constantly updated with emerging market technologies through specialized training and certification tailored to each profile."
Developing products and solutions in analytical areas and acquiring new clients are currently a major focus.
Business Environment
The company has shown solid and successive growth since 2015. Between 2019 and 2021, the value exceeded ten million euros.
The CEO believes that “the country has also invested heavily in information technology infrastructure and has a highly qualified workforce in this area, with many professionals trained in fields such as software engineering, computer science, mathematics and physics”.
Rui Reis points out as the main challenges “the fact that international players have a superior investment capacity and, consequently, greater competitiveness. In contrast, national companies offer more attractive pricing, which positions Portugal as an appealing nearshore hub for international companies”.
