The Situation in Portugal
Despite some progress over recent decades, women’s representation in leadership positions within Portuguese companies remains low. According to the study “Female Presence in Companies in Portugal” by Informa D&B (March 2024), only 30% of management roles and 24% of executive director positions are currently held by women.
This imbalance shows that there is still a long way to go to achieve true gender parity in corporate leadership.
European Context
To accelerate this change, the European Union approved the “Women on Boards” directive, which establishes that by June 2026, at least 33% of board positions (executive and non-executive) in listed companies must be held by women.
This framework aims to create fairer access to decision-making roles, correct structural inequalities, and encourage companies to implement diversity and inclusion policies.
Mind Source’s Commitment
At Mind Source, we believe that diversity is a driver of innovation, creativity, and sustainable growth. Therefore, we are proud to be a positive reference in this area: 50% of leadership positions (Directors, C-level, and Managers) are held by women.
More than a statistical target, this representation is the result of an organisational culture driven by merit as a key criterion at every stage of our talent lifecycle:
Recruitment and Selection
Onboarding
Training and Certification
Performance Evaluation
Career Progression Opportunities
Salary Policy
Rewards and Benefits
We believe that only with this approach can we move towards a truly fair, inclusive, and equal future, where everyone has access to the same opportunities.
